Robot compatible solvent removal workstation revolutionises sample handling

The latest addition to the Porvair Sciences range of evaporators and manifolds is the revolutionary UltraVap Mistral XT 150. Designed for easy integration with linear laboratory robots and liquid handlers (such as Perkin Elmer, Tecan, Hamilton, and Beckman), the UltraVap Mistral XT 150 uses a sample shuttle to serve and retrieve tubes or microplates, providing unmatched automated dry down of organic solvent-based samples.

UltraVap Mistral XT 150 key features and benefits

The state-of-the-art UltraVap Mistral XT 150 has been rigorously tested and proven to remove the laboratory ‘bottleneck’ of solvent removal traditionally experienced with alternative tools. This means the evaporator is able to offer significant throughput advantages to laboratories which are looking to optimise the sample preparation of smaller numbers of tubes or even single microplates.

What’s more, installation of the UltraVap Mistral XT 150 is incredibly straightforward – all that’s required is a connection to a gas supply and mains electricity. Plus, the compact size of this CE marked unit means it fits into all fume cupboards, making it incredibly safe for all solvent removal operations.

How does the UltraVap Mistral XT 150 work?

Our innovative UltraVap Mistral 150 is entirely controlled via an intuitive colour touchscreen, and comes complete with clear safety side screens. Also part of the package is a full integral fume management, which has been built within the unit. In addition to 24-, 48-, 96- and 384-well microplates, the new UltraVap Mistral also handles samples in tubes up to 150mm in length.
